Manned by a crew of six, this platoon's leader vehicle mounted the 28 mm antitank light gun. 168 shells were stowed for this weapon and 1,100 rounds for the ubiquitous MG 34 machine gun. The combination Sd. Kfz. 250/11 and s. Pz. B. 41 proved very flexible and successful, as the gun was easy to dismount and fit it onto the paratrooper's lightweight mount that was embarked in the hull. This gun's firepower was much more effective than what the 37 mm PaK. 36 provided. Many battlefields' targets such as lightly armored vehicles, buildings and infantry positions could be dealt. The 28 mm shell had a penetration power of 60 mm at a range of 100 meters.
