Kit Hauler HLS48007 EMW C2 Wasserfall W5 WWII missile

Rocket Wasserfall was first of modern AA missile system in history. Project under this name began in year 1943. The target for designers of Wasserfall was to made antiaircraft missile, guided by ground radar. Later was guided system changed to radio remont by ground operator. First launch was made 29-2-1944 with prototype of version W1. Later were used prototypes of version W5. Total of launch was 35 and about 15 were not succesfull. Version W5 were designed as final, but in begining of year 1945 was started work on smaler version W10. This version was cheaper and spare strategic materials. About using of Wasserfall against alied aircrafts is nothing known. First of Wasserfall batterie, Rheinland A, was captured by U.S. in Hartz. Some complet rockets survived war and were used for tests in USA and Soviet union.
