The Serval Light Multi-Role Armored Vehicle (VBMR-L) is a four-wheel drive armored vehicle designed by Nexter and Texelis. It is one of the vehicles developed as part of the SCORPION program (Synergy of COntact Reinforced by Versatility and InfovalorisatiON), with the EBRC Jaguar and the VBMR Griffon. Like the latter, the Serval is also intended to replace the VAB.

The Serval was designed to be able to intervene in areas of contact with the enemy. It will primarily equip the infantry units of the light brigades as well as the units deployed for support and assistance.
