The VBC-90 (Armored Vehicle 90 mm Cannon) is a French light armored vehicle with six-wheel drive. It was designed by Renault Véhicules Industriels on its own funds in the late 1970s based on the VAB from which it took many of its components (engine, gearbox, suspensions and tires). It is equipped with the TS 90 light turret designed by GIAT.

28 VBC-90G (G for Gendarmerie) were used by the mobile gendarmerie between 1981 and the early 2000s, their purpose was to replace the aging AMX-13s in internal security missions. The GBGM received 32 examples which served from 1983 to 2004. The GIAT TS 90 turret is equipped with a 90mm F4 cannon supplied with 27 shells, and a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun supplied with 1000 cartridges. This turret equipped with numerous optics (shooting scope, laser rangefinder, etc.) quite advanced for the time, was also adopted for the Panhard ERC 90 Sagaie.
